1984 chevy 305 in 1979 el camino
I have a 1979 el camino with 1981 305 auto w/carb in it. What is required, computor wise, to swap to a 1984 305 from a chevy pick up?Was fuel injection added before 1984?

The '79 is probably just about like an early Canadian third gen, with no ECM.
The 84 engine should functionally be just about the same as the 81 engine.
