Inline 6 into a 1985 Firebird
I found an old thread about a turbo 250 H6 into a 3rd gen Firebird. The OP hasn't logged on in 3 years. I'm trying to determine if there is an existing stock engine mount that will work, or if its all custom?

I cant think of one no I6 ever came factory in these cars.
Do you own a random I6 you want to swap for some reason?

If I were going to swap a 6-cylinder into an F-body, I'd consider a 3.8 turbo Buick, and more or less replicate the Turbo Trans Ams Pontiac made back in the day.
Very strong performance, and a rather large established base, particularly because of the Regal Grand National guys. Pretty much anything partswise you'd need, you can get.
I'm not claiming it would be cheap...but done right, it would be very fast.

1979 Nova or Camaro could be had with the 250 I6-i think those use same mounts as 3rd gen.Trucks used inline up through 1984.Hood clearance at front of engine might be tight on a 3G firebird

Midias - The Car is being built for the 24 hours of Lemons. I got it with a blown small block and didn’t want to show up with the same old sbc as everyone else. I got a 235 from a 63 Chevy II free. I also got a 250 that sat for 30 years for the pan and mounts. 92droptopws6 – I’m an idiot with electronics and am going for cheap to match the $0 budget, lol. Galaxy – Most of our drivers are new and never raced on road courses. Maybe down the road, but I’d probably turbo the inline before a V6.82t – I didn’t think about the mid 70’s, thanks! I have the mounts from a 67 Camaro, but they need work. I’m also using a TH400. I got the ACS crossmember, so that really will define where the engine sits.

I cant think of any reason to swap both of those turds into a thirdgen. Would be incredibly slow and being unknown and sitting probably in need of a rebuild.
