Before I go down the huge rabbit hole of mixing and matching factory parts to make something work...

Has ANYONE bolted a 3800 series two from a 4th gen (my donor was a 2002 5 speed car) into a 3rd gen?

Clearly the old 3.8 used in the 89TTA bolted in, but that was a different block and best I can tell, has different mount bosses in the block.

I'll build mounts if I have to, but if someone has done this, please chime in as I'd appreciate the help.

Swap is being done for a specific power-to-weight ratio for a specific road-racing class.
