Re: Anyone have a Big Block Daily Driver?
There are some older builds that are still on the road. But people rarely do it these days. It is expensive, upsets handling with a lot of extra weight, and is a fuel hog. Those things are kind of at odds with what people want in a daily driver.
It took me 5 years to sell a new SFI flywheel for a 454. So that gives you an idea how popular it is any more.
The big block platform is still relevant at the drag strip. But the LS platform is a pretty badass jack of all trades street engine.

Not my daily driver but it is my street car - weekend cruiser. 1988 Camaro, 582 BBC, Procharger F1X, 4L80E. I haven't been able to calculate fuel mileage on it yet but it is a fun ride on the streets.
