Batwing (y) oil pan form '98 C5 crossmember fitment

Hey folks,
First off I promise I searched the forum before posting! I've got an LS1 from a '98 C5 I'm attempting to swap into my '91 Camaro. Per recommendations so far I've notched the rear of the crossmember so the oil pan should clear; however I'd purchased an F-body (4th gen) oil pan to replace my motor's "batwing" y pan (as I'd assumed there's no way the y oil pan would clear the sides of the crossmember let alone my Hawks headers) but unfortunately the front of the F-body pan is too shallow to clear the internals of the 'vette LS1. I was a bit surprised by this as I'd assumed a C5 LS1 would fit a 4th gen F-body oil pan just fine, but indeed the original batwing oil pan is a good 1/2 inch deeper at the front. Admittedly I didn't actually try to fit the motor with its original batwing pan on the f body crossmember (and boy I don't feel like buying a tubular crossmember after all the fun I had learning how to weld very poorly); any ideas on what aftermarket pan I should look for or an I just way off and somehow that batwing will fit? Thanks folks.

Not my best rattle-can paint work I know.

The Holley pan should work, look at them and you'll see which one to buy
Your engine is sitting WAAAAAY too far forward, BTW

Probably just need to change the windage tray to LS1 F-body style. The Camaro doesn't have a full length windage tray because the front of the pan is so shallow. The C5 pan isn't going to fit between the A-arms anyway, so nothing lost by going a different route.

I'll buy your C5 pan and give you good money for it. PM me if you want money now.

Oops, I'm sorry, I just noticed early years are a 1-piece pan and I'm more interested in a 2-piece pan.

The F-body pan should work, you just need to replace the windage tray and oil pickup tube. Both of those items are cheap either new or used.

Ha! I know I know; it's just sitting on a tire under the car currently. Will look over to see what Holley's got!
