AN-8 lines on top of tank

Hi,
I'm planning on buying an Aeromotive "direct fit" tank for Third Gens that comes with a 340 LPH pump. I wanted to run 1/2 hard line and for soft line, AN-8. The only places I want to run PTFE or rubber line will be the tank down to the body and from the regulator to the rails. Does anybody know if braided AN-8 lines will fit on top of the tank when it is installed in the car. I would like to avoid doing the trap door mod if it dosen't fit, so I would probably just end up running hard line on top of the tank if it's a problem. Just wondering if anyone has done this yet.

The tank comes with -6an extensions so you'll need an adapter. How much power are you planning on running? -6 should be all you need that the pump can provide. Aeromotive has told me this tank is good for about 700 HP N/A. Less with boost.

Im only going to be running about 570 HP at the moment but I plan to eventually do something else. I figured the 1/2 hard line isn’t too much more, so may as well only do it once. But I might just end up going with -6 AN for now. I would use the stock lines but they’re pretty rusted out and I don’t trust them at 60 psi since the car use to be carbureted.

Re: AN-8 lines on top of tank

I had sstubes.com make me a repro 1/2" feed line in stainless without the end fittings for my car so I could run a -8an front to rear for my car. I am going to use the 3/8" SS line for the return
