i have 85 carbed camaro im going to be taken a 97 z28 harness motor trans an rear an swapping it into the car.i have read a couple of threads an notice they used a v6 or tpi harness.my question is can i use the 85 harness i have the same way they splice everything in with the v6 harness or will i have to get a diffrent harness.next question im taken all this out of the car next weekend what else should i grab only have a day to get everything..

 

Label Everything. Get your hands on the 1985 wiring schematics, and compare them to the 4th gen harness.

The 4th gen harness is mostly stand alone. So you'll basically be running 12v switched power to the PCM, grounding it, and running the dash outputs to the C100 connector for tach/sensors.
