Hey everyone, I am building a 305, and swapping it into my firebird, it's current motor is a tbi 305, with all accessories still on it (and working after sitting for 10 years)
My plan
Corvette lt1 heads
Tpi intake, I think it's from a 305
Shorty headers
350 cam
ram air or cold air intake
305 injectors
I would like to know if any of this would work, and can I avoid any machine work and bolt it all on without anything other than different gaskets?
Also, does anybody know where I could find a tbi to tpi engine harness swap?
LT1 heads are reverse flow so those won't work. 305 is the wrong number of cubic inches; if you're putting money into an engine build you'll be rewarded with more horsetorques by starting with a 350. Also consider who will be tuning this custom fuel injection system. You'll need more fuel pump as well to push 43.5+ psi.
