Hello, so we are getting ready to build a 350 sbc 880 block, and the cam bearings are all copper in color(pictures attached) I have seen mixed responses on other forums on whether the bearings are good or bad, just wanting a definite answer.
Looks like that's only #1. Others look OK as far as I can see. Which is only 2 more.
Looks like oil starvation to THAT ONE.
Doesn't necessarily look hopeless, without more info.
What is its inner diameter?
What else (if anything) was fornicated in this motor?
Why is it tore down in the first place?
I don't really see sings of metal chips; which would be, metal embedded in the bearings, and big deep discrete scratches. For all I know it coulda been one of those d00dz that think they're supposed to steel-wool the bearings before they put em in; or maybe even, did that because the cam was hard to slide in. Again, not enough info.

We got the engine with crank and pistons installed, and cylinder walls look freshly machined, which would means a machine shop gas(hopefully) seen it.
As for the ID measurement, I have no idea how can I measure it? I have cheap little digital caliper will that work?
All the bearings look like this btw
The engine was supposedly used in racing for a little s10. That’s about all I know history wise.
