correct procedure?

i just have gotton done buildin a 350 from scratch and was wandering what the correct break in procedure would be.. i spent 5 big ones buildin the motor so i dont want to mess anything up starting the motor for the first time.. thanx

fill it with 30w oil, prime it, after it fires set the timeing, then run the rpm up and down in the 1200 to 2000 range let it reach operating temperature and run for 30 minutes then shut it down, change oil and refill with 30w, drive at moderate speeds and light load for another 30-60 minutes. let cool and then drive "moderatly" for a few 100 to 1000 miles. every one has differant ideas but they're basically the same.
