I have an '83 z28 which I recently took out the old 305 tbi and am going to put in a rebuilt 350. It has a TH-700 which was just rebuilt.
The exhaust was pretty fried, so I am replacing that as well. So far I have a complete 350 minus fuel injection, and hedman headers for 82-92 camaros. I am waiting for some new engine mounts to arrive and then the engine will go in. I am also getting a Hooker Cat-Back exhaust kit.

The heads are Vortec Generation 1.. will these work with the Edelbrock Performer RPM Pro-Flo EFI system?

Anyways, what do you guys think of this setup? Once I get some more money I plan on upgrading the whole suspension, brakes, fix a few other problems here and there and have bad street machine.

Any recomendations? comments?

 

I also have the early vortec heads on my engine, and ran into all sorts of problems with my intake. Of course my engine is carbureted, but I ended up drilling one of my manifolds to get it to fit, turned out that I can't run it till I get a larger cowl. So, I decided to run the Weiand Stealth that I had on the LG4, this time I just drilled and tapped the heads to accept the old style manifold. Its a lot easier when you work at an engine machine shop, but I'm just letting you know of the the troubles I ran into with those heads. They don't seem to fit anything but early TBI manifolds.
