86 vette l98 into my 91Z28
I was just wondering what everyone thoght of this... I got my hands on a TPI 350 from an 86 vette. I want to drop it in my 91 Z28. My camaro has centerbolt heads as the vette does not, will this make any difference with the way my accesories bolt up? I also have the 700r4 that came out of the vette, should I leave my existing 700r4 with 112000 miles on it or should I use the vettes 92000 mile trans? and one more last question. should I convert to mass air and use the vettes computer or should I stick with my speed density setup and have a prom custom burned? thanks in advance for anything anyone can tell me..

The valve cover bolt pattern isnt a problem but if I remember correctly you will need to drill a hole in the passenger side head to use your accesory brackets.
I personally would stick to speed density but if you dont want to spend the money on a chip and dont mind the hassle of changing the wiring harnesses then go for it.

If you have the complete 'vette wiring harness, etc. then you can use it. There's not much difference except the 'vettes had an extra oil temp sensor and the length of the harness to the ECM most likely won't easily fit into your Z28. But if it were me, I'd stick with the SD computer you have and just leave that extra sensor unplugged or removed.
I would use the 'vette's transmission, just because it has better shift characteristics and higher stall TC.
