motor swap done now need help with vats
I am almost done with the swap but still having a few minor issues. apparently my fuel system is hosed and I need to somehow correct some wiring so the fuel pump will turn on when the ignition is on and cranking. I hooked up a positive and negative power source directly to the pump and it works like it is supposed to but it doesn't come on with the factory harness. I of course checked all relays fuses blahblahblah and have determined it has to do with vats or maybe a bad ecm. My check engine light will not come on when the key is first switched to the on position and again no fuel. How can i bypass or fix this with out messing anything else up. I searched all over but not really any clear instructions. check sig for motor specs motor used to be a 91 lo3 305 tbi.

To bypass it, look in the tech articles.
To fix it, check to make sure there is a blue wire going from the VATS module (it'll be inside the harness completely wrapped in tape) to pin GF10 on the ECM. If you look at the end of the green plug on the ECM when you pull it out, you'll see the numbers stamped in there. It's #10 on the lower row (the side away from the retainer clip).

checked it out and it is there like it is suposed to be but my check engine light still won't come on when the key is first turned on. Also I plugged into the aldl port and I don't even get a flashing code 12. Anyone know how to fix this? I read somewhere it could be a bad ground but all my grounds are good and could this issue be shutting off my fuel pump........
