Greetings from Spain!

Hi everybody. I've been visiting this website for months since I bought my first 3rd gen Trans Am last September but finally I decided to register in these huuuuuge message bords today! I thought there would be some kind of "introduce yourself" thread but the fact is that I looked all around for it and I didn't find it.

Well, let's get to the point: I'm not a fan or 3rd gen f-bodies since very long, in fact the TV show "Knight Rider" let me knew for the first time these awesome looking cars. Once I grew up (I'm 26 now) I had a very clear idea in my mind: no matter how hard it may be, I wanted to drive my own Firebird / Trans Am. The fact is that those cars weren't sold directly in my home country, all of them you can find 'round here were specifically imported between 1982 and 1992, so these cars are really odd and difficult to see.

As I said before, I came across a white '83 Trans Am hardtop that was in pretty bad condition. After some months trying to restore it and spending (wasting?) lots of money I decided to look for another Firebird in better shape. Fortunately I found a black '89 Formula really well taken car so... I bought it too! Yes, two 3rd gen f-bodies in my garage, can you believe it? Finally I sold the old Tranny without some stock parts: the 15x7 turbocast rims and the tail lights. KiTT replica in the future? who knows...

Well, I hope not bore you for so long with my story. It's time to get to the pictures:

All in all, no choice but to ignore gas prices (& fuel economy) to drive our machines, huh?

By the way, here it is another pic with some friends and two of their Firebirds

to everybody for your replies

Re: Greetings from Spain!

Hi again guys!

I've been busy all this time (wedding and flat purchase arrangements) and therefore there was not much money to spend on the car.

I've bought recently a pair of 91-92 tail lights to replace the one I have installed now but there's some fading on the plastic I'd like to fix (see pics). I had a look at the section dedicated to this and after a deep search I was quite confused, so, any advice for giving these tail lights back to their brand-new look?

By the way, I also replaced my 89 shabby-reupholstered front seats with two PMD style front seats that I had reupholstered in light charcoal encore velour.

LMAO

Guys, this a friend of mine who is the present owner of my '89 Firebird Formula. I sold it a year ago to buy a C4 Corvette but in the future I'll have another 3rd gen Firebird, that's for sure

I've adjoined pictures of both cars together. The Formula was professionally repainted and you can check by yourself how good it looks now Besides, the European style tail lights have been replaced with a 85-90 Trans Am smoked ones.

z28_valencia... nastyboth in our American Car Lovers boards, right?
