Copper collector gaskets...do they work?

I've replaced the gaskets on my collector gaskets more times than I care to count....I think it's time to try something different. I know the rubber donut gaskets work, but I"m worried about clearance problems. Do the copper gaskets work? Thanks

Yes, they work very well. I've known people that put those on and never have to touch them again. I would reccomend them if you're having problems like that. There's also aluminum ones too, but I don't think there's a big difference between the two.

Can you get the copper gaskets from Autozone or Discount Auto or anywhere like that, or do you have to order them from Summit or Jegs? Also, do the make copper gaskets for headers?

Go to a local muffler shop....i have a donut on one side (long story), and it's been on there w/ no leaks for about 9 months.....all while i've gone through about 5 gaskets on the other side....bout to put on #6.
