2.75" true dual exhaust
2.75" true dual exhaust
putting all new exhaust on the iroc. i am determined to do true dual exhaust (please dont tell me that a single pipe is better...im not here to debate and ive already made up my mind) but was wondering on size. wil dual 2.75" pipes fit? already have coated hooker super comps and was thinking of doing flows 40 series mufflers. whats the largest diameter TRUE dual exhaust system that will fit on an 89 iroc? any info would be great, thanks

I don't see why not, except if you want it to exit the rear, then it might be kind of tight.
I still don't see how anyone can argue about duals.

i have seen in person a formula with hooker SC/LT and 3 inch true duals with 40 series flows. I am going to run 2.5 because of noise. The guy said that he didnt have any ground clearance issues and even had a h pipe, it looked real good, it was ran down the driveshaft tunnel, and the flows were under the back seats, he said he beat them up 3 or 4 inchs. I am planning on running the same setup if i ever get my darn engine together. hope this helps. jason

I am running 3" duals from the headers back to (2) 1-chamber mufflers. But I am also having clearance issues since my car sits almost 2-1/4" lower than stock. All depends on how you route the pipes.
