Sound

Which exhaust system would make my 173cid 88 camaro sound the best without using headers? Is it Borla or is it Flowmaster? Someone please help me make this decision before I spend my money on a system that sounds like crap.

Hooker just kiddin. Could be a choice, though you're not going to get too much either way you go. I'd say Flowmaster.

Must have been my evil twin. Seriously though, I think he'll get more of the sound he wants with a flow, at idle they're a bit louder, which I'm sure will be more important in this case.

Oh, and BTW, what's up with that Hooker pic, my muffler came black, and my I Pipe wasn't shiney like the pic.

Maybe one day your going to build a 400 HP L98 motor, you'll be ready to go. Besides Hooker is cheaper and looks better than a Flowmaster with the tips look :hail:

Oh no they didn't!! Let me at them!!

Yeah guys quad tips look real good. So does that picture of that import with the 20" tip right in the middle of the car. LOL

Lets also keep in mind that those flow tests that said they had like 4 more HP were done by the manufacturer. Not really a reliable source Aerodudes. They're not gonna say Flowmaster or any other muffler outflows them, they all do it in some way or another. Only way is to do an unbiased test of all of them. Flowmaster definetly flows good/good enough for LOTS of power. People tend to go crazy over 4CFM, if it is even correct.

I know plenty of FAST cars, some in the 12's, 11's, whatever, and they all use Flowmaster. It doesn't keep them from running what they want, and they sound incredible while doing it.
