Please help me with a cheap but good setup

I am in dire need of a good, yet cheap system. I am interested in mileage and also in aggressive sound. Please post your suggestions and prices. Thanks.....oh I'm running stock exhaust right now.

flowtec headers and y-pipe $200,dynomax 3 inch cat back $160,straight pipe for cat $10.I think the exit on the flowtec y-pipe is 2.5 inch,I would cut that off and use a flowmaster y collector or have an exhaust shop make one to use in its place.

Get the Hedman 1 5/8 Shorties and y-pipe, about $100 each.

I second the Headmans. I've used Headmans twice before and just installed a set of flowtechs on my 86 TA. The Headmans are better because of the 1 5/8" primary pipe, and I think they are of better quality. It was easier to get at the plugs with the headmans. The #8 plug with the flowtechs is a bit hard to reach.

I am running hooker comps into 2.5 duals with bullet mufflers coming out infront of the backtires. Very deep.

when you buy slp's or edelbrock, thats what your buying a name..... just like corvette, you can get the same hp in a camaross or a firehawk, for thousands less... to me it's all about personal preferance, but when you need good hp and low cost, hedman rules!!!

yes but that exhaust doesnt sound half as good if your looking for a very aggressive sounding exhaust.
