ok,

this winter i am sending my car out to get a cam and headers..i think i know who i want for headers now i just need opinions on a cam...im leaving everything else stock on the car for now (heads rods pistons etc) although i am putting either hooker headers or edlebrock headers on her....i have an 87 (i think 350tpi)...which cam would best suit my needs..(i want that lumpy sound that at idle you feel the car rocking)...please post your input as it will be fairly soon that the work gets started...sept or so..

thanks alot guys

I would suggest a comp cams XE262 or XE268. I'm not a cam expert here, but that would be my guess.

First find out which engine you have for sure. As I don't think a 305 can handle a 268XE. Then go to the TECH board, you'll get more answers there. I believe the 262 or 258XE are what's recommended for 305s.
