Dynomax??

Does anybody have anything against dynomax? If anybody has the super turbo kit could you describe how it sounds and if it is louder than stock both inside and out? I know you get these questions all the time but i just want the right exhaust on my car. I want something that has the deep, deep, low grumble that is a little louder than stock on both inside and out.

Thanks! :hail:

Look at my sig.

I've had mine since Fall/2000. I love it. I needed a replacement for the stock system and for ~$150, you can't go wrong.

It sounds great to. As you can see, I've done very little to my car, so far, and that exhaust makes it sound like I've done a lot more. It does have a low, deep sound, and due to your ears inability to hear low sounds, it seems as though it sounds quiter. But when I tromp on it, it gets much louder.

But is it louder than stock inside and out? It sounds awsome! I dont want it to loud but when i drive i want to be able to hear my car. with the stock exhaust i can hear it but its just not quit loud enough.

My friends 88 IROC with a 350 has Dynomax on it and I don't like it. I'm not sure which catback it is, but its not loud at all at idle. When he steps on it, it sounds alright. I still like mine better

MetalliCamaroRS: Is it louder than stock (inside/outside)? I dont want it really loud, just a little louder but with that nice tone.

I don't like the flat spot on the 3" pipe. It doesn't matter because my new choke point is the flowmaster now anyway.

I've got a Dynomax Superturbo on mine. I like it. It is louder than stock, both in and out of the car. But not loud enough to attract the attention of local law enforcement

labrat: What kind of engine do you have in your Iroc? a 350 TPI? any mods? did you go with the 3" catback?

Thanks!

The engine is a TPI 305, automatic, w/G92.
Its' got an air foil, K&N filters, hyperchip, and the aformentioned Dynomax muffler, the catback looks to be 3", but i'm not absolutely certain. the previous owner installed it all. the rest appears stock.

I have the Dynomax UltraFlow Stainless Seel cat-back on mine.. I like it.. and it's starting to get a bit louder too. nice deep sound.. next a high flow cat, and it'll sound even better.

At idle, there isn't much of a difference at all if any. At WOT, its definitely louder than stock. He also has a hollowed out cat and a 350 behind it though- I don't know what engine you have.
