hooker catback

Well i have decided to get the Hooker 3" catback from thunderracing for $259. I was wondering if anyone had a rough estimate of how much is cost to get put on. I'm the new owner of RODS92Z so it'll be goin on there. Thanks

Now where's Mark he is the Hooker representative I would assume around $100-150 to have a shop to put it in. That's what my local shop would charge to have it put in.

Would it be that hard to put it on yourself? I just ask this because I was planning on getting a Hooker catback too. Thanks,
Matt S.

If you ordered the one specifically for your application, I would do it yourself. Just jack car up so the rear can drop some.

If you really want a shop to do it, I was quoted at $100, but I needed some fab work cause I got the $200 one, ended up being $160, which was too much for about 1 hr work for them.

You're better off to do it yourself. You save money and it doesn't take but a couple hours. It's really easy to do, even if you haven't done it before.

I still trying to decide if i want to go with the hooker or the 4inch mufflex. I want to drop the car 1.5 inches and i dont think the mufflex will fit over the axle. But i need an exhaust to handle a supercharged 350 making 538hp at the flywheel do you think the hooker would be a bottel neck?

I am gonna come and beat you up now. I wanted that car. lol j/k

I would recommend doing it your self if you can or if you need fab work find a fellow thirdgen member that might be able to help you with welding or cutting. The only thing I had to do for my borla was a couple of tack welds. the new exhaust was heavier in the tip area and the stock hangers werent cutting it.

I like the hookers. Not as much as borla though.

I put mine on my self it was pretty simple proly took at max 2 hours. The only price I would pay is to go have it welded which would be like 30-40 at most.

That must be true cause I'm taking out my old exaust and that thing is being a little pain in my @ss.
Won't go over the axle so I'm just gonna cut it off.
