exhaust noise

the people who had this car before me broke off two bolts right at the back of the header, so my car snaps. Its not too bad once the engine warms up, but I was wondering what I could do to reduce the noise, maybe put a little metal compound around the one spot. I have tried to use JBWeld on other exhaust parts and it just gets cooked and flakes off. Any ideas?

You mean the header bolts that go to the block? If so, I know how you feel. One of mine came loose and is gone. Burnt the gasket and I have a terrible ticking noise. Just get some new bolts and fix it the right way.

yep the header bolts, and they are snapped off at the level of the block. I was lookin at doing something simple short term until I decide to pull out the engine and rebuild it.
