Well, I currently have Hedman Hedders and collectors/reducers. After the reducers, it is flex-pipe all the way down the car and over the back axle, with the glasspacks just under the rear bumper, and dual-style exhaust tips clamped on the mufflers. Unfortunatly, it looks like what it is: a shadetree mechanic exhaust job. We ran out of hangars, so the driver's side hangs low and scrapes over bumps, and the flex-pipe is already rusted. After I replace the starter and water pump, I am going to put in some copper gaskets (to hopefully get rid of the damn leaks) and run some "real" straight pipes. Not sure how I am going to get over the axle without using flex pipe, though. I don't know if the pre-bent stuff from the parts store will fit over the axle. It sounds bad-***, though. True muscle-car sound.

I have yet to see a decent set of duels on a thirdgen. There is a pic of a good looking set of duels with a X pipe on a fourth gen on this site but it would not work on our cars because of our transmissions cross member. I wish there was a way to do it, because if there was I would do the same; but I still have not seen it. So by all means if anyone has pics of system that will give the car the same ground clearance as a single system (which is is barely enough) please post them here.
I forget whos exhaust this is but I like it. Once I get the car running again with the new heads/cam I'm going dual 2 1/2" and I'm going to try to copy this guys
shot of the H-pipe.

"ground clearance? What is ground clearance? I do not know of this term" said the guy with dual exaust, but its probably worth it.

Which would be why the flex-pipe is going to be 86'd in favor of actual piping, probably from the parts store to begin with.Originally posted by spartyon
