what the hell guy? you posted on the ontario board saying you can run 13s and that none of us would give you any competition........and now you are saying you dont even know what motor you have ......what the hell? so you think its a 305 TPI and you say you run 13s and you are just now getting headers and a catback.......thats complete BS......september 21st....sparta.....be there......i wanna see this 13sec car (that you have right now, not with your planned mods).
I wouldnt mind seeing a 305 that does 13 without a catback and headers myself... let me guess a K&N took 3 seconds off and with these headers and catback you should be in the nines right?

ps this is a thread about what is better but i went to the local exaust shop and he made my mind up for me...
hooker fully headers mid pipe(i think they make one) and cat back... it should be done just b4 the st thomas track meet

YEah if you have the hooker exhaust you might as well get the same brand headers. Are they the chrome plated, jet hot coated, or black?

if you have a 3 inch cat back already, just by the hooker aerochmaber muffler and replace the flowmaster with the hooker...it will be way cheaper that way. no need to replace your 3 inch pipes and 3 inch tips if you dont need too...

The Hooker 2460's are shorties, don't have A.I.R. (normally - can be gotten with it, though - "520-02460" which is special order), and DO NOT have a y-pipe. In fact, Hooker doesn't offer one. The exhaust shop will have to fabricate one for you. They do have the O2 sensor fitting, though.
I don't know what you mean by "fully" headers. Never heard that term before. I've heard "full length" (which the 2460's are not), and "shorty" (which the 2460's are).
"Mid pipe" - not sure what is meant there, either, "intermediate pipe" is typically used of the pipe between the cat and muffler, and comes with the cat-back system.
I'd seriously recommend getting a full, itemized price for this job from the exhaust shop. It isn't uncommon for the cost of fabricating the y-pipe to exceed the difference between the 2460 headers and the 2055 ($349.99), which come with a very nice, mandrel-bent y-pipe.

i ordered them last night before i went out and gtecd my car again.. i have gotten a price from the exaust shop(he sponsored my cav so hes giving me a good deal on this as well) $400 for the total install headers, catback and everything...so i cant wait til i get them on...(already paid for)..
now heres the thing..
im gonna have to tow it to the damned place because just after i gtecd the car my fuel pump went...(130,000kms) so i wont be able to drive it there...as well i wont be getting to st thomas either...ran low on the funds so i cant get there..(need to fix the fuel pump) oh well next year i guess..
btw when i gtecd it..i didnt set it up and it was another guy that had it and set it up..i only did the 1/4 in 14.34secs at 97mph.. a significant loss but then again i do have holes in the exuast (just after the muffler before the tips) and no thats not an excuse but ill take it as it is...

with either heritage stripes or just one big like 2 foot stripe down the centre...or even maybe nothing at all but the white...well have to see...

wha? i'm confused cuz you just contradicted yourself. in your first post you said price was not an issue concerning headers, yet in you post about your fuel pump going you said that you're running low on funds and tahst why you won't be able to make it to st. thomas? i dunno whatever but IMO i'd go for the hooker headers

iroc2nv aren't you only like 23 or something like that? and on top of that you own your own performance shop which i would assume woudl require some amount of knowledge about cars and what goes wrong with them, which then doesn't explain why you would take your car to a mechanic instead of finding out yourself. I'm not "calling you out" per se I'm just a little confused. I'm only 17 so in no way am i saying that i know all about cars but i just figured performance shop OWNERS woudl know a good deal about cars. anyways let us know how those headers are

ok,
heres the thing..yes i do own my own shop..but i am new to the "muscle car" era..wheras the honda and import stuff is sooo much easier..yes i know a motor is a motor and so on but its not that i dont want to find out myself....its that i have no time...and the stuff i do all day isnt just engine stuff...most of our sales are from "rice articles" ie wings skirts rims lights and so on...
and im always on the comp(considering we dont have a shop, although we are doing fine right now out of my garage) we have all the tools neccesary to do the job well and correctly..

I thought the Hooker Super Comps were long tube headers. Are the ones you posted the pic of Jegs pn 520-2210?

I also thought the Hooker Super Comps were L.T..Those look like Hedman's .I just bought some and they have that little plate or badge or whatever on the driver side header .
