I think you should get the hooker, great fit and finish. I wouldn't get flowmaster unless you wanna get what everyone else has or you absolutely love the sound....

I would go with flowmaster , I like the sound the best, it's loud and aggressive. Hooker sounds great at wide open throtle but who drives around at WOT. Flowmaster is not as impressive at WOT but in my opinion sounds better when you are driving under normal conditions. However I am told that Hooker flows better than Flowmaster. One last thing I can tell you about Flowmaster is it is fairly loud inside and it does have a drone sometimes, if that does not bother you go for it I am very happy with my flowmaster overall and would not switch ,however weather you go with hooker or flowmaster I think you will be pleased.

I say go with hooker or flowmaster. It all depends what your looking for. Many people are happy with hooker and have their systems. So I'm not understanding this "Unless you wanna get what everyone else has".

From what Ive heard, if you want more or less a quiet ride until you go WOT, defenetly get a hooker. It has a great WOT sound.

If you want it pretty loud all the time, get a flowmaster. I like mine alot, and I can easily hold conversations in my car without yelling.

Well, I know alot of people on the board have Hooker, but around our towns, it's like nobody has hooker and everyone has flowmaster. I know that's how it is around here. I saw ONE 3rd gen bird that looked like it had hooker, but it was parked in someone's driveway with the hood up so I don't really know if it did or not.... would've asked the guy, but he wasn't outside...

I like Dynomax because of it's nice, deep tone. They also carry a lifetime warrenty. My Dynomax Super Turbo muffler is not very loud though.

Gotta agree with Justin on this one, on all accounts.

I'm 159% happy with mine (it cost me $159 ). I've also heard the Ultra Flow from Dynomax and they sound even deeper/meaner.

Have you heard the Ultraflow on a sixer? I've been deadset on getting the Super Turbo catback...but if the ultra flow's gonna sound better, well, I might reconsider!

I haven't heard one on a 3.1L, but I did have one on a 4.3L. If you go to the Dynomax website and listen to their sound files, you'll get a pretty good idea of how it'll sound.

Mine was on a 95 Blazer and it sounded like a V8 after I put it on. I was very happy. The kit only cost me $100, and I think Jeg's messed up and sent me an Ultra Flow. I didn't complain one bit. A lot of people who heard it asked me if I changed to a V8.

It may not sound as good on a 3.1L because 1. It's smaller and 2. It's a 60* V6 instead of a 90* like the 4.3L. But I doubt it'll sound bad.

Vortex! I just got some a couple of weeks back. They have a real low deep sound. Its cool, I'll try and get some sound clips later this afternoon.

thx for all the imput guys... i think that i am gonna go with the hooker cat back... cause i love the way they sound in some of the clips i have heard... i think flowmaster sounds good but i have heard way too many people with it and its starting to get annoying... as for the dynomax... i have only heard it once... and i thought it sounded goood... but i thought it lacked compared to the hooker... so it will probably be the hooker catback for me... as soon as i get some more money... being a college student sux when trying to mod this car of mine!!!

If you get the hooker done, I'd love to hear a sound clip if you have that kinda high technology. Yeah, I would think the hooker might sound better on a V-8...Dynomax is for us sixer guys.

I have the hooker and I think it sounds great! It is loud when you get on it and quiet at idle....my buddy just got the flowmaster american thunder and it is louder at idle but it don't come close at WOT....he is dissapointed with the flow..he was hopping it would be louder.
