All aftermarket ones will flow pretty much the same, unless you're building up like 400hp then the Hooker will give a few more ponies than Flowmaster.

I like the sound of my Hooker. Sound clip in sig.

As far as sound goes, I don't think I prefer anything more than Flowmaster. Is it the best flowing, I don't know, but I'm sure if we're only talking a couple horsepower difference.

If you hav'nt already, spend your money on headers and y-pipe first.

Well I was just wondering I just got all of my exhaust iin today, but I am putting it on the car this weekend. It consists of hooker headers 1 5/8 primaries 3 inch collectors, then 2.5 y pipe going in to mac exhaust, and I am not using a catylytic converter. How do you think it will sound.

Dont go with the hooker headers unless you have a shop near you that can make you a GOOD y pipe. I have those headers and a crappy y pipe made at the local place. I think I lost horsepower after the header swap because of the y pipe.

I am sorry the headers are hedman I dont know why I said hooker. They did a good job on the y pipe, and it is 2.5 on every bend. Does anyone think this exhaust will sound good?

lol, yeah but that's only because you can adjust it and make it go straight-thru. That's cheating.

I can vouch for MAC

I live in Temecula, CA, which is the headquarters for MAC (ironically enough, right down the road from the DMV )

Anyway, install was a breeze as it is modeled directly from teh stock setup, just better flowing and much thicker (3"). My exhaust from them, fully coated and aluminized with chrome tips retails for about $1100, from headers to the tips. However, one of their employees goes to my taekwondo so I got it for VERY cheap . He drives a 2000 black SS and a '91 Camaro RS (305).

If you are REALLY interested in MAC, contact me and I may be able to get you hooked up. And when I say hooked up, we're talking 2 piece pulley set and full exhaust for less that $500 :lala:

Dunno if I can get it that cheap for you guys, but maybe around $750 for full exhaust?

If your interested, email me
