helpful hint on storing your car's exhaust

if u plan on storing your car for a few months please take a rag and stuff it in the tailpipe. i just took my exhaust off to get the car ready for the 383 th350 swap and i found a hairball made of grass, cloth and just about anything u can imagine the length of the tailpipe. the car has been sitting for about4-5 months so please do this unless u want mice in your engine.

Just take a zip lock bag and put it over the exhaust pipe, with a rubber band holding it on. Mice can be crafty little bastards.

For kicks you can put a piece of cheese inside the pipe before you put the bag on.

I would use a zip tie over a rubber band because of the rubber rotting and falling off. Sucks to hear about your problem? What are you going to do to fix the problem??

Hahaha! That cracked me up. : )

I stored my Camaro for about 4-5 months. No rats, but my engine compartment was filled with spider webs. Long drive got rid of most of them though.
