I was reading the newest issue of CHP and within the first five pages or so there is an ad for magnaflow cat backs. Ive never heard fo magnaflow or seen it mentioned on this board so I assume it is a new product. Anybody know anything about them? Im interested because it is something other than flowmaster, borla, slp, or anything that everyone else already has.

 

One of my friends that just graduated from uti said that they tested a magnaflow on one of their cars. He said the car was a 87 iroc with a vortech on it, and they dynoed all the leading catbacks and magnaflow gave the biggest gains. Not exactly sure how much but I know it was over 10 horsepower over the others. He said that it didn't sound bad.

 

I went to their website and their products appeared to be very good quality. I couldn't find any sound files though. I'd be interested in hearing one on our cars. I'm getting sick of hearing flowmasters. I wish I hadn't got the flowmaster force II system. I think it sounds like **** (makes an annoying droning sound except when you get on it). I was much happier with the Dynomax system I had before. I wish I had tried the Magnaflow instead of the flowmaster.
