Suprised to see that type of question. In answer to yours, they are the best headers out there. And damn good for the money.

Hooker was making headers back when TurboFire didn't refer to a smoking compressor. Back when Polyglas was considered good rubber and a V-6 wasn't an option in a Malibu.

Hooker has probably forgotten more about headers than Ed Hamburger or Vic Edelbrock will ever know.

I have Hooker headers and consider them to be the best 1 5/8" headers for the money. I had them coated by JetHot to keep them from rusting and keep the heat inside the tubes. The primary tubes still look like brand new after 2 years of driving through every kind of weather. The Super Comp model 2055 shorty headers are made for '86-92 F-bodies with a single cat, and they have 1 5/8" primary tubes, 2 1/2" downpipes, a 3" exit out of the Y-pipe, air tubes, and the O2 sensor bung. They fit very well, and I didn't even have to jack up the engine, they just slid right in from the top.
