full length or shorties??

full length or shorties??
I plan to get headers and wanted to know
which is more important full length or diameter. I antic. finding 300hp from my 305tpi and am not keeping the air injection.
I know that 1-5/8 is Ideal but are there full length ones with an o2 sens. that will allow me to just stick on 3 in. turn downs and not scrape with eibach pro kits??

mo MAF screens, no cat, dynomax exh, urethane motor+trans mounts,
SSM frame con, Bilsteins.

ive never heard any isntall storys regarding full length, but ill bet there a lot more of a pain in the a$$ to install
