I got my exhaust done on my 91Z about 6 mos ago, 3" all the way with high flow cats. The muffler is a high flow, dual exit, POS from pepboys type, or i would assume. Anyway, if i got say like a flowmaster seris 40 or somthing with that make my exhaust louder during acceleration and stuff ?????

the type of tips you choose,greatly affect the sound too.

 

this christmas im getting dynomax cats.....series 40 flowmasters....my suggestion would be getting the series 40s...but instead of running to the back....it has been known to increase volume if you put turndowns on it ...right after the back axle...thats what im doing...just a thought

If u want the loudest exhaust for the least amount of money, get your summit catalog out and order a flow tech race reddy. get your exhaust guy to put it on right under the rear pass. seat and just run the cutout open all the time. thats what i have and i get compliments all the time and its loud!!!
and it only cost 40 bucks.

Personally I like SLP headers and catback. I have that on my 5.7L Iroc and it is very load but you can still have a conversation inside the car. but on the outside it is loud as hell.
