best exhaust combo?loudest?

Ok, I am about to just go ahead and spend the money on my car to make it as loud as possible...i was wondering what the best combination would be...it needs to be street legal and I have to pass e-check so I need a cat. I want a deep deep rumble that is crazy loud when I get on it....what hedders?what cat?what cat-back system? muffler?tips? everything that will help make my car louder...the only thing is that going to duals would be too much work for me.

I think the loudest, best sounding setup I've ever heard are dual sidepipes! It's been a LONG time since I've seen any. I think Thrush made them at one time. The best ones had cast housings and were ribbed for appearance and structural strength.

You put your headers on and hook them directly to these sidepipes that would run down alongside your door and exit just in front of the rear tires. They were common on second-gens and Corvettes. Now, those things were DEEP and LOUD!

dude...........go with turndowns.

see alot of ppl dont realize......when you have pipes coming out the back...it only bounces off the car behind you and the sound waves deflect all over the place.

my setup that im getting for X-mas
dynomax cats
Flowmaster 40 series
then im making the pipe come over the axle and point straight down
by this the soundwaves would bounce between the car and the ground making it really loud and you feel it through the ground...and those vibrations will set off car alarms hehehe.....hope that helps......

Well I know when I slowly roll through my work places parking lot I set off car alarms. I love doing that. Feels good ya know? And the sh*t inside my car don't shake or nothin so thats good. I have a custom 3" pipe w/ Edelbrock TES headers, no cat and a Flowmaster 80 Series and dual weld-in chrome tips to give it a nice touch pointing outward and not passed my bumper and there not ridicoulsy huge either, just about 2.5-3" tips.

hey bro do this, its cheap and loud. high flow cat, flow tech race reddies exhaust cutout right under the rear passenger side seat. just run the cutout open all the time and its loud trust me i got it. sets off car alarms and all. Oh yea when you romp on the gas it screams like a son of a bitch. And if u have a standard you can rev it up high and do cool back fires to **** off the rice burner sitting next to you at a stop light, right before you run all over his *** .
later and good luck
