i got a quote on an exhaust today. Let me know what you think of the sound. A dynomax mandrel bent 2.5 inch pipe from the cat to the muffler, an 80 series flowmaster muffler (2.5 in and dual 2.5 out), and two 3.5 inch chrome tips (22 inches long) all installed for 300 bucks plus tax. So how will that sound? i think i have heard the 80 series before, but i'm not sure. Is that loud and deep? I think it sounds like a good deal.

Pricewise, that is a pretty good deal. It will sound good. All Flowmasters sound good.

Real good price. I had a plugged cat, recently, and went with a high-flow, 3" mandrel cat-back with a Flowmaster 80 with twin tips for 500 bucks. You're gonna LOVE the sound, and you'll "feel" it, too

I have the stock cat, 2.5" pipe to a Flowmaster 80 series 2.5" in/out with 3" tips. The muffler installed was $120 and the tips installed were $70, so that's about $200. What ever you do, dont go to Midas. They suck. It's not very loud at all to me, and it's very tinny sounding, like spraying water on aluminum foil. If I was you, I would go for the American Thunder or Hooker or some other cat-back system, that's what I'm doing. I'm getting headers sometime too. My car is a 305TBI. I would be lounder for sure with a 350.

i have heard that the 80 is louder than the american thunder and i did get a whole cat back system, the dynomax shouldn't be any different than the american thunder (the pipe from the cat to the muffler) they are both mandrel bent. I also have a 305 tbi and it sounds great.
