I coulda sworn that JEGS had the shorty headers for $92 and the matching Y-Pipe for another $92

Those were made by Hedman. As Sals82Z28 said, you'll need to get one fabricated by an exhaust shop.

Does anyone think that different brands of y-pipes will interchange? I have slp 1-5/8" headers and need a y-pipe, but wouldn't an edelbrock fit?

Im going to experiment with the hedman y pipe, by the looks of it it should fit, the only problem im running into is the damned O2 bung, but that wont be too hard.

no irocdaddy they won't, each company designs their headers different so the y-pipe will not line up for any of them not specifically designed for it.
