I want a normal sounding exhaust!!

I have an 87 pontiac 305 firebird that has a flowmaster 80 series muffler with a 3" exhaust system that was installed last summer. The muffler is too loud and I want something that is like O.E (quiet)at idle and cruise, but a monster at WOT. Also looking to only spend $40-50 or less. Do you anything that will fit my buget, I was thinking of the Dynomax super turbo but not sure. Also I would like to keep the dual exhaust look!!!

Thanks,
RPettway

Borla is great, but good luck finding one that cheap. They are stainless so a used one should be ok.

goodluck

A friend of mine tried the dynomax muffler and liked it... though the rest of us thought it sounded really odd. The dynomax didn't last long here and quickly rusted away after one illinois winter.
just letting you know ahead of time.

good luck again

Put a stock one back on to make it sound wimpy. Is that what you want?

I have an 80 series Flowmaster in my IROC. Now I know why people refer to it as blowmaster. It doesn't have enough growl and bark. I sure hope that 3" intermediate pipe I plan on getting makes it sound nice. BTW, it does sound good at WOT.

Ram-air setup coming soon
