Random Techs stainless Catback, anyone have it,Feedback please.

I was browsing over Muscle Motors website and cam across this system,I was going to get the Borla Stainless system a long time ago but someone here averted me from it because of the horrible design like 3 piece intermediate pipe and that it doesn fully reach the cat,and other issues basically saying the system isnt worth $500+.So I found a System made by Random Tech its the first time Ive seen it.It lists for $575.3inch intermediate pipe 3 inch duels.Im pretty sure the intermediate pipe is one piece.Anyone have this system or can give me feedback on it?Thanks

Well u have to ask yourself this question. Do i want to spend $550.00 on a catback exhaust system that will only give me 25 hp. Sure every little bit helps, but i suggest u go with the flowmaster design(american thunder) which includes 3 inch mandrel bend pipes 40 series muffler and a single 3 inch outlet. If u think the flowmaster is restrictive get an exhaust cutout. In total u should have spend just about $300.00 for everything that i have just mentioned and an extra 200 for something more important. Im sure a bunch of others would agree with me.

Yes but stainless steel doesnt rust, thats why I have SLP headers and want a stainless cat back also.IMHO the single exhaust pipe looks like crap.My friend has a flowmaster kit and it sounds real "tinny".Doesnt sound good at all.Im running over 500hp easy so which exhaust I go with does matter a lot.Everything rusts up hear in New England.Ive had Edelbrock headers coated and they only lasted 2 years before they started bubling.Ill spend the big bucks on the cat back but I only want to spend it once.My choices are now:MAC,Mufflex, and Random Tech.

Ive heard many stories that intermediate pipe size over 3 inches doesnt matter because of the muffler is the same duel 3 inch outlets.Im still not finalized on one peticular catback so feed back on which one everyone owns, especially modified cars is a big +.Thanks for the reply

The american thunder series is a 30 series muffler.

I am interested in this. I may have the borla and my have been the one who warned you about the multi piece intermediate pipe. I can't find anyone who make a full cat back with duals that is stainless. maybe I just need to email random tech. I like flowmaters but they don't last forever. had them on my pickup and being it the mud alot they were gone fast.

The american thunder from flowmaster uses a 40 series muffler while the Force II uses an 80 series muffler. I have been told countless times by flowmaster.

I have the Mufflex and love it. Granted, it is not stainless, but is aluminized. My suggestion is to use a coating like High Temp POR-15. This stuff is supposed to be indestructible. Won't protect the inside though. The sound is extremely powerful.

well got back with them and they swear it is a complete kit sent me a pic of the aluminized version on a thirdgen and said the only difference was the material. I had dual 3" stait exit pipes not turned down at all. with a complete intermediate pipe. looks like the the best stainless option for thirdgens.
