Liquid Weld... Does it work?

I've been thinking of buying a cat-back. The other day i was at a hardware store, and in the adhesives section i saw what was basically weld-in-a-tube. Apparently it holds up to 1000* or something of that sort. do you know if i could use this to install my cat-back and cat?

I'm pretty sure that it will not work for very long on exhaust.

What's wrong with the clamps the cat-back manufacturer gives you?

I've been told that eventually they rattle and come loose, and they become a headache.

I've never had a problem with a clamp. Just make sure you re-tighten 'em after a few days, and after a few days again. Then, you should be good to go!

About that half as$ weld, that stuffs like elmers glue, it's worthless, its sorta like an emergency type thing, i used on my old p/u when a rock hit my transfer case mudding, but anyways..it worked but basicly for the ride home, then the diff. fluid leaked out, so stay away, go with the clamps
