I want to get a cat-back system for my 88' iroc-z (5.7). I was leaning twards Random technology, but also thinking of Mac exhaust. I would like to get a go deep sound out of it and peak HP. ANY SUGESSTIONS

 

well we are getting a group purchase on the random tech. so could get a good deal. as far as hp gains I have never seen much head to head comparsion done. I have seen adds where the hooker aero champers out flowed flowmaster but it was comparing a 40 seris 2 chamber to universal fit muffler not the crossflow mufflers. most of the time when the post horsepower gains it is real generic and not applications specific. like on the random tech website they have dyno graphs of a 4th gen. it gives it 25hp. but will that be the same for a thirdgen???? I would go more for look and sound because I think hp difference would be very marginal with a stock engine. you start pushing 450hp then worry about whick muffler you put on.
