I wouldn't get them, they'll be fine for your 305, but if you ever plan on gettin more HP out of that motor or another one, those 1.5 primaries might start to choke it.

I'd save up an extra $100 for Hooker headers, I don't have any personal experience with them, but from reading the boards, they seem like a great choice.

Those won't come with a y-pipe because they're long tube headers.

You'd need to have one made which will more than add to the overall cost.

If you need AIR..... then the Pacsetters are not a bad deal. The reason Mark says they're OK for a 305 or a mild 350 is they're 1.5" primary pipes. They'd be OK for up to 330-350HP with the main focus of the build-up being torque.

If you don't need AIR, then look for the Hedman Hedders Headers at www.jegs.com

I posted some links to them on another thread titled "SLP vs. Hooker", or something to that extent.

I have a friend that owns a performance shp and he said he wont sell them if he is installing them. This is because he said they fit like ****. I dont think i would buy them myself. I have always had good luck with hooker. They have nice emission legal ones too that are prolly pretty nice. Goodluck.

heddman does make good headers, on top is the emssions hookups. If you are trying to be 100% emmisions legal that is exactly what you should buy. long tube headers will give you more performance but if you are tested I would either buy those slp or the hooker emmsion legal headers. Hope this is of some help
