Converter Application Question

I'm about to order the Edelbrock TES headers, a converter and Dynomax Cat-Back system. I have a problem though. The Y-pipe requires a 2 1/4" slip on cat inlet and the Dynomax system requires a 2 1/2" flanged cat outlet. Who else had this dillema, what did you do about it and how much did it cost?

So far I have not found a converter that will bolt right up, which has me disappointed because I wante to avoid going to an exhaust shop.

(Edit: Never mind. I just ordered a universal 2 1/2" in and out converter. I'll have an exhaust shop fit it up)

I"d cancel the order, and get the TES ones with the 3'' y pipe and get a cat that fits that.

I would think any replacement cat would work. The reason I say that is I replaced mine, and I have the Dynomax cat-back, and it bolted right up.

The stock y-pipe on my car is 2.25" and the Dynomax cat-back is 2.5", so I guess the cat is bigger on one end? I don't know for sure..... I didn't bother measuring it.

I used a Maremont from AutoZone if that helps.
