Shorty Headers w/o Y-Pipe

If i get shorty headers could I just get the header reducers bolted up and use my old Y-Pipe to connect it to the rest of the exhaust?......AARON

No, unfortunately the collectors will not line up. Depending on the brand of headers you have there is a Y-Pipe made specifically for that. I had to get one for my Headman Headers. It was only like $130. Also keep in mind you will need something to remove the old ypipe like a sawzall. If you have anymore questions justy holler. I did my header instalation in 45 minutes.

I'm running Flowtech headers and a custom y-pipe. - I put a FLowmaster Scavenger y-pipe where the cat was(would work in front of). I had a reputable shop run dual 2 1/2 pipes from my headers to the y. The y cost me $40, and the exhaust shop charged me $75. It looks great, and has a real powerful sound. I would have used the Y-pipe to match my headers, but I sent it back because it was a turd-ball. -

later, justin...
