Dynomax Ultraflow 4" in/out muffler. The intermediate pipe came from the mufflex system.

Guido,
Is that the 16" long version of the Dynomax muffler? Let us know how loud it is. I have to get a 4" muffler (or 2) for my carbed 383. I have Hooker LT headers and a mufflex y-pipe (4" out). I was thinking of this muffler or a 16" Borla. I may have to put a 12" muffler then a 16" in series to quiet is down a bit for the street.
What do think?
Thanks!

That looks mean!!!! Cool as all get out. It'll probably be loud as a fog horn!!!! Especially with no tailpipe. Everyone will know your coming, and when you've passed by. Like to make your presence known, don't you!!! The cops will know ya too.

I had the dynomax BULLET muffler before with true duals and it was loud as hell. However they had no insulation. There is 1" of insulation all the way around this muffler so I think that it will actually do some muffling. The SLP muffler on my Formula looks like this one looking in the inlet. Corrugated metal with insulation around it. It isnt terribly loud. I hope it isnt MEGA loud. I still want to drive the car once in a while on the street but at this point in its life, its pretty close to a strip car.

Guido, can you upload the pic of 4" exhaust and a sumped tank please?

You could also get an aftermarket panhard bar that has clearance for a bigger exhaust.
