Flowtech headers feature mandrel-formed Power Plenums collectors for better exhaust flow. Features 1-1/2” primaries, 2-1/2” collector and provisions for oxygen sensor. Constructed of 0.049" cold roll-flash tubing available with either a black-satin or ceramic coating. Gaskets and mounting hardware included. Reducers are sold separately.

this is what i'm thinking about!! anyone have any objections??

If you have any plans for engine upgrades, I would pick something that has bigger primaries than 1.5". If you have your heart set on those, I will sell you mine.

Ive got those headers. Am I happy with them? Yes. Would I buy them again? No. If I had to do it over again I'd go with the bigger primaries. But for my 305 I think that they're alright.

Do you have emissions inspection? If so, you'll need the A.I.R. tubes, which the less-expensive Hedmans do not have.

If all you have is a sniffer test, you'll be okay as long as you keep the A.I.R. going to the cat.

i just found out that the headers do not have the air tubes application. which i'm kinda mad about because i just wanted to intall them and go now i have to do a little more work which i really dont know how to do.. but i'm in NJ and i'm not sure what test they do but i know its hard.. i wont pass inspection anyway now because previous owner took off cat.. so i'm getting a cat with my new headers but i'm not sure which air tubes to keep ..
if worse comes to worse i'll just get a sticker else where! haha
but i was hoping to do it the normal way... you know passing state inspection
thanx for the help

Hedman has them available with A.I.R. tubes, O2 sensor fitting, and y-pipe. Emissions-legal replacement. A tad over $300.

Get whatever headers/y-pipe you decide on for the '86-'90 TPI single-cat application. Then get the same application direct-fit cat (cat-back also a good idea). This system will fit together, flow well, and pass your emissions inspection and sniffer.
