One Chamber Flowmasters?
I was reading in a Jeg's book that there are One Chamber Flowmasters! I was just wondering if anyone has tried these out at all? I'm also wondering what the sound and power difference is between the the 2 chamber and the 1 chamber? Thanx.

Man, there is a huge difference in loudness and sound.(not to mention size...the 1 chamber is about 1/2 the length than the 2) These mufflers are only good for engines that are producing a lot of compression and horsepower. otherwise they are overkill, and sound like crap. But, if you have about 11 1/4:1 or more and a good hitting cam they should sound pretty good. be prepared to wake up the neighborhood!

I had these on my 69 LeMans. They sounded bada$$. They were overkill like twistedwedge said. I had a 350, 8.5CR, 750 Holley, .480/.480-280*/280*, 108 CL., Weiand Team G, and headers. These are scavenger type mufflers. I constantly smelled gas after these were installed. I wrote this off as the mufflers pulling out part of the intake charge b/c of the 108 CL. Flowmaster evens sends papers with these mufflers stating that they will do this. These are better for bigger, or more compression engines. But, even on my little motor, it sounded like a nitro coupe. I started with 3", but the resonance inside was so terrible, my head would hurt after driving for awhile. I went down to 2.5", and it got a little better. Damn they sound good though!!!

Yeah, thats what I asked Summit. "Is this something that is border line street legal?" He laughed and said "Well, yeah, they're pretty loud, I don't know if I would run them on the street." "Good, I'll take 2 of them please." These are 6" long, not including the tubing in or out. Very small, and very loud.

Hey IROCZTWENTYGR8, My dad is thinking about selling his Iroc-Z. It's an 87 and it's pretty stock except for the B&M shifter, Flowmaster muffler, Cd player, and it also has a new torque converter and rebuilt front pump on tranny. It also has new Universals, seals, and bearings.

Oh, I want beige int. I'm looking for a specific car, Red, almost stock, lower mileage, all power, and in great shape. If it was all of those things in the colors I want, I'd Really be Interested!! Thanks anyway though.
