I've experienced it....if you don't want noise in your interior.....don't go with the 40 series.....it's very loud. Like 3 times louder then the 80 series......

"40 series delta flow supposedly has signifigantly less interior noise"
Yes, it's supposed to sound practucally the same outside but not inside. The regular 40 Series you hear everywhere.

CORRECT PART NUMBER FOR 40 SERIES
Does anyone have the correct part number for 40 Series (Delta Flow) Flowmaster for a 1983 Pontiac Firebird (V-8)? I have the 80 series now, but I want a little more sound.
Thanks
Jeff

Dont waste your $$$ on the 40series the 80series is the EXACT samething except dual outlets. In fact Flowmaster will even admit the 80series is a little bit louder then the 40's. So save your cash and get something that matters, cam, intake, custom prom, etc. I went threw all of this already, I know from experience trust me....

The 40 series is NOT the same as the 80 series at all.....there is much less restriction in the 40 series than the 80 series. The reason I got an 80 is because there is dual outlets.....but..I wissh I could have the tone of a 40. Maybe they make 2 different type of 40 series....i dunno...but..I know for a fact, that the 40 series and the 80 series have a completely different tone. The 40 like I said before is like 3 times louder than a 40. I'll see if I can get ahold of my buddy on here....he has the 40 series....and it has a completely different sound.
