SLP tri-y headers, who's got them still?

I have them on my car but I haven't heard of anybody else with them. So far I've seen ONE guy post back in 99 but that's it.
Does anybody have any articles or reviews on these headers? I'd like to know if what I've got is worth anything resale and performance wise.

I've had them since '89. I think the design is superior to the newer SLP 4 into 1's. The primary tubes on the Tri-Y's are equal length. Unfortunately, they never made them with 1 3/4" primaries. They sold the Tri-y's over the counter at GM dealers for a while, in the early 90's, along with the runners, and cold air set-up. The retail price of the Tri-y's was about twice the price of the current headers. I like the 3" collector on the Tri-Y's. It makes a smooth transition to my 3 1/2" Mufflex exhaust using a 3 1/2" to 3" reducer cone ( installed in reverse).

I also like the design but the y-pipe is looking kind of low. It's got a few dings in it from hitting something (not me, previous owner) but no leaks. As for coming from the dealer....my radiator shroud has an official SLP sticker with the exhaust hole punched out. It looks like it was from the dealer, but I had an Lo3! It had a full SLP exhaust but it was missing the muffler back when I got it. How much or where can I get the SLP exhaust rear section?

If you can find the Aug 88 issue of Hot Rod magazine, they did a before and after test of the whole SLP package (tri-y headers, cat back, runners, CAI, and chip) on a 350 IROC.

I've flattened my crossover tubing a couple times, also. I replaced a 6" section twice. I have a little stiffer suspension now, and it doesn't sit quite as low, so no problems for the past few years.
I think those exhaust pieces that you're looking for are still available directly from SLP.

I have spent a ton of cash at SLP over the last few years and in my experience they will bend over backwards to help you. I have the 4 into 1's. When they had the closeout sale on the tri-y's a few years ago I missed out by about 10 minutes. I pimp SLP anytime I get the chance.

Very nice, thanks Kevin. Now what do you guys think this is worth? Is it superior to the newer 4-1 design 1 5/8 or what? I like the y-pipe on my car better. It just looks so unrestrictive compared to others. Is this exhaust system built for down low, high, mid?
How much do you think these are worth now that they aren't made anymore and the fact they're the best fitting design.
