SLP Loudmouth for third gens!

Hi,
I have a request that i was wondering maybe you could help me with. Would it be possible for you to make a sticky in this forum to gauge interest/show demand for SLP to produce the Loud Mouth Exhaust system for our cars? maybe title it "Gauging Interest In the SLP Loud Mouth for 3rd gens".
Thanks for your help and time,
Matt

N/p.

I would definetly be interested in hearing a Third Gen specific LM exhaust on a L98, even though I'm a Flowmaster dude.

If I could get a 3 inch loud mouth that would bolt up on a third-gen, I'd be all over it...Id still like to hear a sound clip of it on an older motor, not just an LT1...

my hunch would be that an L98 would sound similar to an LT1, LS1 i think would sound totally different. thats my impression

yes ,they would sound completly different, for the camshafts are all totally different, and that is the 1st step in exhaust sound. An L98 won't sound as healthy as a LT1 or LS1, but any V8 without a muffler will sound killer.

Instead of wasting all that money why don't you just go buy a piece of pipe or some type of bullet muffler and put it in place of your muffler. The SLP loudmouth 'resonator', is just a piece of pipe.

Actually, that's the setup I have currently, however it would be nice to have a stainless exhaust, therefor you wouldn't have to worry about it rusting. I would personally rather buy 1 quality exhaust system, and not have to worry about it getting corroded like mine did, and it's only 3 years old.

Because your not gonna get the right split at the rear to the tips for one reason..Second its a bolt on so no worries about getting the right bends etc.

I have tips on each side, I had the exhaust shop make a "y" just like the LM design, but it's just not the same, it's not stainless. Some people may not care because there car is only a "fair weather" driver. Well, mine is a daily driver..snow sleet..it don't matter to me. It's really too bad...everyone complains that it's hard to find parts for 3rdgens..well here we now have the chance to have something new AND well built

I don't have any pics, or souund clips...but it sounds d@mn mean even for a 305 I had it done at Rippley's in Houston Tx last year when I was down there for school. Any exhaust shop should be able to do it.

I'm glad you have a decent sense of humor

On a different note, throw out a price for this 'system' and see how quiet everyone gets.
Also, the rear section of a 4thgen is nearly a mirror copy of a 3rdgen so one could just get a 4thgen back section of exhaust and bolt it up. Of course, that's just my opinion from crawling under one getting pieces parts to make my own exhaust, I could be wrong.
