Gaskets to use on TES headers?
Ive had my TES headers on for a little over 5 months now and the passenger side gasket is ticking like crazy, it's driving me nuts. does anyone know of a good gasket to get for them. I dont mind changing them every so often, but 5 months seems a bit premature to me.
thanks,
Eric

I've had mine on for about a year now and have only tightened the bolts twice. No leaks so far using regular cheapy header gaskets.

Do Not go with the gaskets that Edelbrock gives u. They will blow if u like to get on them once in awhile. I went with SCE Copper gaskets and Stage 8 bolts. I have VERY pleased with mine.
Part numbers at my exhaust part of my site.

And yes, I know exhaust is spelled wrong in my web address.

I've been having the same problem with my car. I've been eating up collector gaskets fairly quick (2-4 months). I recently called into JEGS and they recommended the Percey's dead soft alum. so I guess I'll try it. I'll keep you guys posted.
*Laugh* Jegs told me they would fit. Now I got to send them back. Guess I'll look into some copper gaskets.

well i tightened up all the header bolts (3 were finger loose), and then tightened down the collector bolts on each side and that pretty much took care of the problem. Whenever the gaskets i have now go bad im gonna step up to a copper gasket with stage 8 bolts. Thanks for everyones help....
