Anyone here happy with their TES headers???

I just bought these and before I got them I was considering Dynomax since they were cheaper. Then I called and I was told they were discontinued. So after seeing the debate on this board I thought that TES would be the way to go but now Im told how a mistake it was!!
Can anybody tell me that I just didnt waste $340.
I was told that the TPI (one cat) would fit my car, do they flow better than the TBIs?

I don't how well they flow in comparison, but I have the TES for the '85 LG4, and I'm very happy with mine. The 305 was scrapped for a 350, but it seems pretty happy with the headers. Mine cost $300 +/- from Summit.

They're some of the most restrictive headers on the market. Hooker Super Competitions are the way to go or even the SLP shorties. I kick myself for buying the edelbrock exhaust products. Good intakes bad exhaust products...

I have no problems with mine. I had them ceramic coated (Like everyone should) and I love them. I can't compare them to anyone else though but for me...they did the job I got the TPI ones w/ the 3" collector.

I'm also happy with mine. I bought TES headers for duel cat model TPI and I also purchased their cat back system. The g-tech pro did show me dropping by a second or a little more in the 0-60 mph time. But I haven't tried any other exhaust systems or headers so I'm probably a little bias. The only thing I hate about them is I eat up collector gaskets quickly.

as long as they are used for a stock 350 or a mild 305 they are great. i love mine. they provided a noticible gain. my little 305 don't need 1/3/4 primaries.

The best money I ever spent on my IROC was the TES system. At first I didn't know, but after I fixed some vacuum leaks, I am totally impressed with them. Sure they may not be as goo as the SLP's or the Hookers, but I seriously doubt that it is going to make that big of a difference on my car to justify the extra cost of the SLP's. Get them coated, you won't be disappointed. I ued Jet-Hot.

I had the edelbrock TES on my old 305. They worked well, and didn't rub anything. It was only a mild 305, churning out major top end power was not a factor. the one feature id didn't like was the reductioin to a 2.25" cat. But for that motor they were fine.

I have SLP headeers and Y pipe on the 350, i'll be firing that this week, we shall see how they work
