What kind of headers should i get??

All thats left to do with my exaust really is headers and a high flow cat, and was wondering ifi should go for broke and pay the 700 or so dollars for SLP headers. and another thing.. if i get those headers, should i replace my muffler and exaust system? I dont know if buying mixed components would create a good sound. A unique one probably but a good one? HELP ME!

That's a total ripoff. Look for online deals. They are $375 all the time.

I got my 3/4" SLPs with AIR, installation kit, and cat adapter shipped to my door for $495 total through the group purchase. It took a while, but it got here.

Go with the hooker super competition shorty headers or the SLP shorty's either one's are great headers...Go for broke and get them coated they'll look nice for years to come

The SLP's are mid-length, not shorty's. Shorty's usually have primaries of about 12" in length and no collectors. They're good for clearance, if you can use a center exit, but are barely better than the factory manifolds for performance. Unless you have a very tight install(putting a big-block into a '34 Ford for instance), shorty's are a waste of money.

I coughed up the $$ for the SLP's (uncoated) from Summit and have been very happy with them,so they get my vote, coated or not.You get what you pay for!Hindsight is always 20/20,buy the good ones now , or replace the cheaper ones later.

Is the diameter where the y-pipe comes together 2.5" or 3" on SLP single cat setups?

The two 2-1/2" tubes come together in a 3" tube ,followed by a 3" Slip-Fit Cat Adapter (an extra $50),also stainless steel.
